Representative Program

South Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (SQJBC) is Basketball Queensland’s representative competition within the south-east Queensland region which provides an elite junior competition pathway for players representing their association.

The Sunshine Coast Basketball Association (SCBA) is a testament to the dedication and passion of the basketball community on the Sunshine Coast. It has been a labor of love from three foundational clubs: Caloundra Amateur Basketball Association (Caloundra Heat), Maroochydore Eagles Basketball Association (Suncoast Clippers Basketball), and Noosa District Basketball Association (Noosa Cyclones).

Recognizing the need for a unified and stronger basketball presence in the region, a group of forward-thinking volunteers formed a steering committee to create what is now known as the Sunshine Coast Basketball Association, operating under the identity of Sunshine Coast Phoenix. Their vision was to provide a seamless pathway for athletes of all ages and skill levels while fostering a competitive and community-driven basketball environment.
